Last update to this blog was in July. I am getting lax, I think.

We recently travelled to Germany (Frankfurt, Stuttgardt, Munich, Berlin and the Rhine region)

Cleanest city: Munich
Coolest city: Berlin

The eurail pass is definitely the way to go. Excellent network of trains with an up-to-the-second web site allowed us to plan our days from the comfort of our hotel room.

If you are planning on taking the citynightline train from Munich to Berlin, think small. The sleepers are tiny.

I spent a terrific week in Vienna, Budapest and Salzburg, with Bianca. We travelled light (carry-on only) and had terrific weather. The 4 Season’s Gresham Palace in Budapest is an experience not to be missed.

We traveled by train and found it to be fast safe and reliable.

We leave for Austria tomorrow, and I can’t wait. We’ll be on the move pretty often, 3 cities in 2 countries in 7 days.

Prague was a great time. The sights and sounds were worth the trip. That and those delicious desserts. Did I mention the desserts? The chocloate was absolutely wonderful, and the tiramisu from the local pizza joint was the best I have ever had.

Of course, now that I’m back in Montreal the weather has been very spring-like. Until today when the snow came down.

It should clear by early bext week at the latest, and I’m looking forward to cycling to work.
