Finally made it to Prague with an eventful flight.  First time I ever see lightning strike the wing of the plane.  The accompanying ‘boom’ would have startled me had the whole thing not been so surreal.

 A lightning strike during a descent through a snowstorm?  Only on Patti’s birthday.

Manon was a friend of mine. The picture above was taken at the Montreal
International Dragonboat Festival in July of 2005.

She was always smiling, always positive, always generous.

Manon died on Monday. She was 46.

I will miss her.

Life has been just rushing past me lately, and for a while it seemed impossible to just sit down and write a sentence or two.

I have discovered flickr (thanks patti!) and I’ve started carrying my camera everywhere I go.

Bad news today.

Katie called with news that her (soon to be) father-in-law unexpectedly died last night.

We are all very sad.
